and Sriracha sausage Penne with tomato sauce

Ingredients3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
¼ tsp red peppers flakes
4 Savori Sriracha sausages, cut into ½-inch slices
796 ml canned whole tomatoes
Salt, to taste
450g of penne
Handful of chopped basil leaves
MethodPour tomatoes in a blender and pulse for a few second to form a coarse purée. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and flaked peppers to the pan. After about 30 seconds, add the sausage slices and brown for 3-4 minutes. Add the tomatoes. Simmer over low heat at least 10-15 minutes, until the sauce thickens a little. Add salt to taste.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta for a few minutes in a large pot of boiling salted water and cook as directed on the package. Drain the pasta and serve with the tomato sauce and sausages. Garnish with basil and parmesan shavings.
