with broccoli Sausage Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients

2 tbsp tablespoon of olive oil
4 Savori Tuscany sausages, cut into ½-inch slices
1 clove garlic, minced
4 cups reduced sodium chicken broth
450g of penne
1 ½ cups heavy cream, warmed
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups small broccoli florets, cooked
Salt and pepper

Method

Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add sausage and cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown. Transfer the sausage to a plate and set aside.
 
Add garlic in the same pan and cook, stirring, for about 30 seconds. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the chicken broth. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Add pasta and mix well. Simmer for about 8 minutes, until the pasta softens a little. Add the cream and sausages. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 4 minutes. Add parmesan and broccoli and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve.
